Dr Aziz Momin was not my original surgeon and I only met him 2 days before my operation. Upon meeting him made me feel at ease and confident that everything would be ok. He explained everything to me that what was going to happen, originally I was going in for one bypass having an angiogram done two days earlier had found a more damage to my heart, I was now going to have a triple bypass so he explained where he was going to take veins and arteries from. Not being a surgeon myself still made it easy to understand so I knew I was in good hands safe hands and everything would be alright. After coming out of surgery and being intensive care 4 a day move to the ward Dr Aziz Momin came to visit me everyday until I went home 5 days later. I appreciate Dr Aiziz Momin and his team for all that I have done

Mr Momin recently operated on me for aortic valve replacement. His approach was relaxed but confident and put me at ease while explaining in just the right amount of detail the procedure. The after care was excellent.

September 2016 went into St George's, where I had private room in the cardiac ward. I had a Cardiac Ablation part 1. The surgery went well, although I was still in Atrial fibrilation afterwards which was to be expected having had it since 2011, and I was discharged 48 hours later. I subsequently had part 2 of the ablation in February 2017 and then a cardioversion in February 2018 which cured my Atrial Fibrilation For the part 1 "follow ups" in the cardiac outpatients department I have always been seem by Mr Momin himself, who takes good care of me seeing him so far every six months. Following five years of monitoring by Dr Nick Bunce and his team of cardiologists at St George's, Mr Aziz Momin has recently replaced my heavily calcified aortic valve by open-heart surgery. My first operation date on a Thursday had to be cancelled because of a shortage of ICU beds so he alleviated that stress by promptly booking me as first on his list for the following Monday. All went to plan and I was home by the Friday. Mr Momin was decisive, thorough, fast to respond to a temporary post-op set-back, and readily available to answer my concerns. During the long recovery process, he is showing genuine interest in me as an individual patient. Post-op checks confirm that the valve has been successfully replaced and that my heart is functioning well.
